These seeds are from Luma apiculata, also known as Arrayan, Chilean Myrtle, and Shortleaf Stopper. This tree likes to live in full sun to partial shade where it grows about 40 feet high and produces fragrant white blossoms from from the middle of Spring until early Fall. The trunk of this tree looks contorted, the white flowers are instrumental in the production of honey, and the edible berries are dark blue or black.
