These seeds are from Mirabilis jalapa Pink. This perennial grows up to 4 feet tall and lives best in full sun. Only blooming in the middle of summer. The Leaves can be used as dye in cakes and jellies, while the seeds can be crushed up and used as a replacement for pepper. Mirabilis in general are larval host plants for the White-lined Sphinx moth. This plant can be grown as an annual all over and can be grown as a tender perennial in zones 9 to 11 but is grown as an annual in all USDA Hardiness Zones.
