These F1 seeds were collected from a cross of Magnolia stellata and Magnolia kobus. The result is Magnolia x loebneri, also known as Loebner Magnolia, Saucer Magnolia, and Leonard Messel. This tree likes to live in full sun to partial shade where it can grow up to 30 feet tall. The white, magenta, pink, and purple blossoms change colors and are out from late winter until the middle of the spring. This fragrant flower attracts a wide variety of bee, birds, and butterflies.
