These seeds were collected from Bauhinia acuminata, also known as dwarf white bauhinia, white orchid-tree, and snowy orchid-tree. This ornamental tree is breath taking with gorgeous white flowers and grows to about 10 feet tall. Some people describe the flowers as looking like orchids and others think that the blossoms resemble butterflies. Bauhinia in general are larval host plants for the Gold-spotted Aguna, and Gilberts Flasher butterflies. USDA Hardiness Zones 8b to 12.
