These seeds were collected from Philadelphus coronarius, also known as English Dogwood, and Sweet Mock Orange. This shrub likes to live in sun to partial shade where it can grow up to about 10 feet high. Its very fragrant white blossoms are out from late spring until early summer making it a great ornamental tree. The leaves can be crushed and put in water to make a cleaning solution for body, cloths, etc. You can also pick one of the leaves and use it like a bar of soap to wash your hands. This plant can be trained to grow as a hedge. This plant is a food source for the Achemon sphinx, and Nessus sphinx moths. USDA Hardiness Zones 4 to 8.
