This is Passiflora sexflora, also known as Goatsfoot, Passionflower, and Passionvine. This plant was named sexflora because it tends to produce clusters of six flowers. This vine can live in sun all the way down to full shade. Keep in mind that the more sun it gets the more flowers you will have. This would make a good houseplant since it will not survive many areas of the United States outside during the Winter. The blossoms begin as whitish yellow or chartreuse, and then purple highlights develop as the plant matures. They have the most beautiful bat wing shaped leaves, also compared to a goats foot or a duck foot. This is a host plant for the Zebra Long Wing, Zebra Heliconian, Julia Heliconian, Isabellas Heliconian, Banded Orange Heliconian, Mexican Fritillary, Scarce Bamboo Page, Erato Heliconian, Variegated Fritillary, and Gulf Fritillary butterflies. USDA Hardiness Zones 10b to 11.
