The scented orange globes, which are used to make perfume called attar, also make this tree one of the most popular ornamentals. This tree grows up to 150 feet tall and is a topic of Indian religion and mythology. The fruits, stems, stalks, bracts, and flowers are all edible. The leaves are used to feed cattle and the wood is used for lightweight projects and to make paper. The bark is used to make a yellow dye. USDA Hardiness Zones 10 to 11.
