This is Ficus racemosa, also known as goolar fig, gular fig, cluster fig tree, and Indian fig tree. These fruits are a favorite of the rhesus macaque, one of the best-known species of Old World monkeys. The Ovambo people are a Southern African tribal ethnic group who brew their traditional liquor, called ombike, from the fruit of this tree. This tree blossoms from the middle of the Summer until early Fall. This is a larval host plant for two-brand crow butterfly.
